MCPS Retirees Association (MCPSRA)

The MCPS Retirees Association (MCPSRA) is a non-profit organization created by and composed of retirees from the Montgomery County Public Schools. It advocates for retiree benefits and provides valuable services to its members, including a timely newsletter, luncheons, travel and volunteer opportunities within the association and in the community.  MCPSRA is dedicated to pursuing excellence in education for young people through its Toolkits Project and providing scholarships to current MCPS employees who wish to further their education.

Why join MCPSRA?

Once you retire, you are no longer represented by MCAAP, SIEU 500, or MCEA.  Join the Montgomery County Public Schools Retiree Association (MCPSRA) and the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association (MRSPA) to protect your pension and benefits.  

MRSPA  has been advocating to protect and enhance your Maryland State pension as its primary focus for 80 years. This important work continues for all Maryland retired school personnel, regardless of their location in retirement. 

MCPSRA is the only organization recognized by the MCPS Board of Education to advocate for retirees, including issues surrounding health benefits. 

In addition, both organizations offer opportunities to serve the community and connect with other retirees.
