Caregiver support

Navigating work and personal demands can be all the more challenging for those caregiving for a loved one. The EAP offers Caregiver Support designed to provide helpful resources and establish connections among the caregivers within the MCPS community. Speaker presentations are held virtually on a monthly basis. Speakers present on important educational topics related to caring for a loved one. The Caregiver Support Group is open to MCPS employees, MCPS retirees, and their adult household members. Interested in receiving emails about the Caregiver Support Group? Spring 2026 Educational Presentations

All educational presentations take place online and will be recorded for later viewing. 

  • Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 5:00–6:00 p.m.: Communicating Effectively. Join the MCPS EAP and the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter for an informational session on Communicating Effectively.   • Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 5:00–6:00 p.m.: Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances. Join the MCPS EAP and the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter for an informational session on Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances. This program will discuss the costs of caregiving, early planning, tools to start a conversation about finances, assessing financial and legal needs, and avoiding financial abuse and fraud.
