Gold Star Greatness: Recognizing the Heart and Soul of MCPS
In association with MCEA and SEIU Local 500, MCPS celebrated outstanding educators and support professionals at two Gold Star Galas on March 12-13.
The MCEA event honored a Teacher of the Year from every MCPS campus. These educators were praised not only for helping to prepare students for their futures, but also for building meaningful relationships, creating engaging classrooms and setting high expectations that inspire students to reach their full potential.
SEIU recognized a support service employee from every worksite in MCPS, presenting them with a Support Professional Worksite Excellence Award, representing the excellence and dedication that powers the district.
