If you enroll in the CareFirst Dental PPO, you have the freedom to select the dentist of your choice. Generally, you receive a higher level of benefits if you receive dental services from a participating (in-network) PPO dentist. If you receive dental services from a non-participating (out-of-network) dentist, you receive a less generous level of benefits.

Participants in the Aetna DMO must choose a dentist who is part of the DMO network in order to receive benefits.

The Kaiser Permanente medical plan includes a schedule of benefits for in-network dental care for both adult and pediatric patients. The Smile ML dental plan covers a comprehensive range of preventative, diagnostic, and restorative services at a fixed cost with low out-of-pocket payments. .
