Designed for students interested in working directly with patients, this pathway provides hands‑on preparation for careers in direct patient care. Students progress through integrated science coursework and clinical training, leading to industry‑recognized credentials as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). This program also builds skills and knowledge for college and postsecondary study in clinical medical fields. Career-connected learning experiences and partnerships with local hospitals and nursing facilities ensure authentic exposure to healthcare settings.

*Part of the MCPS graduation requirements includes either 2 credits in a world language or completion of a state-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) program of study along with a minimum of 0.5 elective credit or more depending on the program of study.
Program of Study Guide: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant I, II, and III are part of the state-approved Certified Clinical Medical Assistant CTE program of study. Students who plan to attend a four-year college or university after high school are encouraged to take world language courses to meet admission requirements and strengthen their college applications.
