As part of the Blueprint's goal to ensure all students across Maryland have the resources and supports they need to be successful, the state incorporates a wealth equalization formula to determine how much of each Local Education Agency (LEA)'s foundational education funding comes from the state (state share) compared to the county (local share). Maryland's wealth equalization formula incorporates net taxable income and property values to determine a county's wealth.

The Accelerated and Enriched Learning in Literacy and Mathematics presentation reported declining MCAP proficiency rates for students in the 2021-2022 Compacted Math 4/5 Cohort from Grade 4 through Grade 7 (see slide #7).

How do the data compare to MCAP proficiency rates for students in the 2021-2022 standard Grade 4 Math cohort from Grade 4 through Grade 7?
