    Summer Assignments for Advanced Placement Courses
     
    If your student requested to take an Advanced Placement (AP) course for the 2026-2027 school year, carefully review the document to see if your student has any assignment they are required to complete before the first day of school.  Teacher emails are linked for each course in case you have questions about the assignment.  
    2026 MHS AP Summer Assignments
     
    Current AP Students and Parents/Caregivers:
    MCPS is covering all AP exam fees for students enrolled in an AP class for the 2025-2026 school year.  This is great news and means the only thing your student needs to do is register for each exam.  Students will be responsible for late registration, cancellation, and late testing fees this year.  Carefully review this 2026 MHS AP Letter for full details. Students are automatically registered for their 2026 AP exam when they enter the AP Classroom join code provided by their AP teacher.  Students will need a College Board account if they do not already have one.  Follow the steps on this handout and video on how to login to AP Classroom and enter the join code.  The deadline to register/join in AP Classroom is November 13, 2025. Students that need assistance can see Mrs. Virginia Snyder, AP Coordinator in C119-A or email at Virginia_B_Snyder@mcpsmd.org.
    AP Exam Schedule and Score Information
    AP exams are administered in May each year and students view their scores online in July by logging into their College Board account.
     
    2026 AP Exam Schedule - Students and families should avoid planning vacations and doctors appointments at the time of their exam.  If a student has a conflict with their exam date or time, they should contact Mrs. Snyder as soon as possible.
