EASTERN Athletics 2026-2027
NOW OPEN TO 6TH, 7TH & 8TH GRADE STUDENTS!
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, 6th grade students are now eligible to participate in middle school athletics!
Eastern Athletics provides opportunities for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to represent Eastern Middle School through interscholastic athletics. Students interested in participating must complete all MCPS athletic registration, physical, and eligibility requirements before they may participate in tryouts or practices.

Registration for Fall 2026 is now open!
All students wishing to participate must be registered through ParentVUE and have a current athletic physical on file before participating in tryouts or practices. Additional practice and competition information will be provided to participating students and families.
Tryouts:
Dates: September 8th, 9th, 10th
Time: 3:15 - 4:15 pm
Location: Eastern Cafeteria
Registration:
Students must be registered for Fall sports on ParentVUE.
Students must have an up-to-date physical on file to try out - NO EXCEPTIONS. Once a physician has completed the Pre-Participation Form, you must upload it to ParentVue.

Getting Home: All students who participate in an activity, play on our sports team or support our team by watching games are eligible to ride our activity buses home. We have one neighborhood bus that drops students off at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School or Pine Crest Elementary School. We also have a Blair shuttle bus that students take to Blair High School where they can transfer onto their regular route.
