    Unearth a Story with MCPL’s 2026 Summer Reading Challenge!

    Montgomery County Public Libraries is challenging YOU to keep reading and learning all summer long. MCPL’s 2026 Summer Reading Challenge offers all ages a chance to fill their summer with great books, fun programs, and a chance to earn some prizes along the way.

    Participating is Easy!
    • Sign up (or log in). and earn a Free book and enter a raffle for tickets to a Washington Spirit soccer game.
    • Once you are signed up, set your personal goals each week.
    • Hit your goal for a total of 3 weeks and earn a voucher for two to a Washington Nationals Baseball game,a coupon for a sweet treat, and automatic entry into a raffle for a tour of the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream facility in Gaithersburg, MD.
    • Hit your goal for a total of 6 weeks and you will complete the program and earn a voucher for a free book from Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD, Inc. and entry into a system-wide raffle for an age-appropriate prize.
