April Updates

  • Certain sections of lockers identified were removed and evaluated during spring break. No mold was identified.
  • Room 280 chemical storage room is being evaluated from the work order submitted this week. Updates will be provided at our May meeting.
  • 64 Work orders have been completed since our last meeting.
  • Cooling tower repairs will start mid-next week. A broken pipe was discovered during changeover.

February 9 Update

  • The generator is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. They will be using a crane to set the new generator on the concrete pad.

February 2 MTG Summary:

  • SBIT Structure and Purpose
    • Core Focus: The group is primarily dedicated to addressing maintenance and operations challenges specific to Wootton High School.
  • Facilities and Operations Updates
    • Work Orders: Of the current work orders, 43 have been closed and 9 are completed and awaiting final supervisor approval.
  • Specific Repairs:
    • Boilers: Currently functional following a gas regulator change.
  • Advocacy and Challenges
    • Community Support: Families seeking to advocate for school improvements are encouraged to engage with the school. As a reminder, some of the work and progress is often impacted by challenges in procurement, staffing, and contractor resources.
