The Parent Teacher Student Association
The PTSA is an organization of parents, teachers, and students that work together to support the Ridgeview community. La PTSA es una organización de padres, maestros y estudiantes que trabajan juntos para apoyar a la comunidad de Ridgeview.
Here are ways to get involved with the PTSA at Ridgeview:
- Our first PTSA event will be the Kick-off Carnival on October 8th from 2-4:30pm and we need a LOT of volunteers to run the event! Consider volunteering or donating at RMS Kick-off Carnival SignUp. There are options to volunteer selling tickets during lunch, run activities during the event, or help set-up & clean-up. We are also looking for high school volunteers who can earn SSL hours.
- Interested in getting involved with a PTSA committee? Reach out to rmsptsavpvolunteers@gmail.com. Our volunteers plan:
- The Bob Bucks Store is open twice per month for students to cash in their "bucks" earned from teachers and staff for exceptional behaviour. This highly successful initiative is dependent on volunteers and donations! Donate to the Bob Bucks Store, order items directly to the school via the Amazon wish list, or join the SignUp Genius to volunteer.
- The Staff Appreciation committee organizes monthly snacks for the teachers and staff at their meetings. They also organize meals during pre-service week, Back to School Night, Parent Teacher Conferences, and Teacher Appreciation week. Please consider donating to support and encourage our staff through Staff Appreciation Donations or make a snack donation through our SignUp Genius.
- Concessions at sporting events : SignUp for October softball & cross country
- Bobcat Boutique (clothing donations available at school)
- Movie Night (Winter)
- 3v3 Basketball Tournament (March)
4. ATTEND a PTSA meeting: All students, parents, and guardians are welcome! Students who attend will earn SSL hours. Meetings are held in the RMS Media Center at 7pm and last 1 hour. This is a great opportunity to hear from the administration on important topics and to share your ideas. Our Fall meetings are Tuesday 10/14 and Monday 11/10. We will also be at Back to School Night in the Media Center from 5-5:30pm.
