Writing Programs & Workshops

These programs are for students interested in learning new ways to improve their writing skills. They also allow students to sample life on a college campus and meet other students with similar interests and academic abilities.

Fir Acres Workshop in Writing and Thinking

Fir Acres collaboratively explores the relationship between writing, thinking, and learning, and comes to understand writing as a liberal art. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of themselves and their world, and a better preparation for the rigors of a college education. Refer students to the Contest Info binder in the English Dept. for more info. More info also can be found at www.lclark.edu/org/firacres or call 503-768-7200.
